Everyone knows that builders have a poor reputation as a profession and today I knew why. Last Friday our loft man Ben called round to finalise a few measurements & to inform us that the scaffolders would be arriving on Monday (ie, today!) Guess what? No-one turned up and no-one called to explain why they hadn't turned up. Part of me isn't at all surprised that this happened but it's not really looking good for a trouble-free build, is it?
The plus side is that DH took a car load of stuff to the tip - hooray!! Funny how stuff lives in the loft for years but as soon as you see it again you wonder why on earth you kept in the first place!
