Today I learned that it was worth the trawl around looking for replacement Advent Arch bulbs. We've had this arch for a number of years now and the spare bulbs had long since been used up. I was loathe to give up trying to find replacement bulbs, because the arch always reminds me of German Christmases and of the 4 happy years I spent in Germany during the late 1980s and the early 1990s. Yesterday, however, I struck lucky because I found replacement bulbs in a small independent electrical shop; now the arch works again and I have 2 spare bulbs.Friday, 4 December 2009

I've always loved the way the lit candles look in the windows around Christmas time. Glad you found some new bulbs for yours.
I had to buy a new arch last year as my german bulbs snapped off at the threads!! Put it up tonight along with the tree in time for John coming home.
