A True Gentleman

I learned today of the death of a man known in my family as Grandad Skipper. He wasn't related to me, either by blood or marriage, but I loved him as though he was. Although I am sad that he is gone, I rejoice in the knowledge that he lived a long and full life. He was a true gentleman, with a heart full of love, and who in return was loved by many.

I think, that is all we can ask for. A full life and to be loved. Sorry for your loss but it sounds like he was a wonderful man and is looking down smiling at what you have said.
They never really leave they are always in our memories and heart.
