LYPLYP: Take 2

Following those sketches from prompt 5 has meant another LO completed for DS's album. This one is based on sketch 4. (I'm liking these 4 sketches so much that I might, just might, base my Washington album on them. I like things simple when scrapping a whole set of photos!)
Of course, I've yet to do anything about today's prompt, which is all about depth of field. In layman's terms that means those blurry bits on your photos that look really cool, and are not due to camera wobble ...

This is a lovely page. The patterned paper gives detail but the design is simple! also love your term for Depth of field! Abi

The paper you have used compliments the simple layout perfectly. What a gorgeous young man - he rightly deserves a whole album to himself!

I like the simplicity, too. And I love that picture of DS!

Hope you got my emails. I haven't checked my mail to see. I sent you as much info as I could find re: your genealogy questions.

XO,

Sheila :-)

I love the papers you chose for your layout. Was trying to enlarge the image, so I could work out how you got the lines that divide the plain paper from the patterned background... is it japanese tape? or did you draw the lines? Anyway, it's very effective and the whole thing sets of the photo very well.

It's a great idea to use a set of 3 or 4 sketches when you're planning a whole album on one subject. Then, even if you vary the papers and colours, it will have a sense of coherence and look planned.
I would love to see your "Washington" album, when it is finished!

Your working those sketches really well. I'm jealous! I also now scared to look at todays prompt as I know nothing about depth of field. Might save it for tomorrow.

Love the whole lot Ruth! Excellent page - not done anything about the latest prompt either and even though my photos from an earlier prompt fit - I would fee like a cheat using them!

Love both these layouts :-) I've found the scrapping prompts so inspiring - the sketches are great, and sometimes just the idea itself (eg near and far, or columns) triggers an idea for a layout. Hooray for Shimelle's classes! xx
