Project Life Begins Here

Some notes to remember as I begin to tackle recording our lives for a whole year:
  • Photograph the weather
  • Photograph Nature doing her thing
  • Record the details of what we eat
  • Get someone to take photographs of us as a family on a regular basis
  • Remember to include photos of me
  • Include shopping lists ~ I'll be amazed at how much is spent on food
  • Consider documenting a photo-free week
  • Add extra pages where necessary ~ Week In The Life (July) and December Daily
  • Remember to continue scrapping the every day for our individual albums
What do you reckon?  Have I missed out anything really obvious?

I don't think you have missed anything but I would add pictures of the house and the street you live in, pre-school, work, daily chores, the backyard, the table where you eat ... I know you have this stuff down pat, being a seasoned 365-er! Good Luck :-)

Don't forget to celebrate the extra special moments while you're doign the ordinary.
Get other family maembers' perspectives for the journalling

I think you've got a pretty good idea of what to document. Amy's right about remembering to take photos of the house, street, etc. - I tend not to think about those too much but of course, over the years, things change and it's nice to have a record of them as they are now.
I'm so looking forward to seeing your album fill up - and getting mine!
xx

Sounds like you got it down, Ruth, but Sian has a point. I love to hear what folks are reading.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Kids Favourite activities? Might be nice to see how they change.
I am very bad at doing the family photo thing, must get around to it.

Hooray! Can't wait to see your project develop :-)

When I did Scrap Your Day last year, I took a photo of some trees near us on the 25th of each month. I love looking back to see the change from bare branches to blossom to leaves to fruit to autumnal colours to bare branches again. Maybe you could do something like that as part of your project? xx

Are you starting the project just now? I bought Becky's project life kit and had the best of intentions of starting in January but it just didn't happen. I am thinking of starting it now even though it is not the start of the new year.

OOh, I can see why you are so excited about starting Project Life, it is awesome! I have completed 2010, 2008 and half of 2009. Also keeping up this year. My best advice is, keep it up. This might sound silly (and I hope not rude!), but there will be times you might flounder; I certainly did. But once I got to the end of 2010 and it was all complete, I felt so much pride. Its pretty much the one thing that I have started and finished! Best of luck!
