Pyjama case masquerading as a dog. When The Brainy One leaves the house without the pooch, he {the pooch} positions himself in front of the door and makes himself as flat as possible. He can stay there for up to an hour or more. Talk about unconditional love.

Our dog knows when everyone is due home and adopts a similar pose looking down the path for their return!!!!!
If we do dare to go somewhere without her she does turn the puppy dog eyes on as we walk all the way down the path!

It's the same here. When J comes back I get forgotten about. No mind that I do the long walks in all weathers when J is away!!
