Photo a Day: 7th February

Do you have any really old books?  This gem is a first edition from 1955 ~ amazing that there is so little damage ~ and I found it on t'internet..  My mum had a copy of this book when she was a girl, along with a book called Air Hostess Ann, and I can remember reading them both lots of times when I was a girl.  I have no idea what happened to mum's copies and I don't think she does, either.

I absolutely love old books- they show a real journey with someone. When I was young my mum's best friend lent me ALL of her childhood books and I was in seventh heaven. It's one of my ambitions to own a first edition one day.

I thought my copy, minus the jacket was still in family circulation - maybe it's wishful thinking? You might ask Liz - you know that she has a collection of old books.

I don't have any really old books. When we moved to the UK we had to get rid of most of our stuff but, to be honest, I don't think I had any that old then either.

We have a collection of Sunday School Prize books which my Grandpa and his brothers and sisters were given in the 1900's. And I have all my Mum's books from when she was a girl - all jolly hockey sticks!

I have shelves full of old books, many of them having survived from my childhood in the 40s and 50s.

That's so cool! I have an old book on my blog too but it's a lot more damaged than yours!

I also have old books. They came from mum and dads house. They are books from our childhood as well as books from our grandparents. I love old books and would never get rid of them.
