Saturday saw Team GB get off to a great start.
~ Gold for Ed McKeever in the 200m Kayak Sprint ~
~ Bronze for Liam Heath and Jon Schofield in the 200m Kayak Sprint Pairs ~
~ Gold for Mo Farah in 5,000m; he did the distance double ~
~ Gold for Luke Campbell in the Bantamweight Boxing ~
~ Bronze for Tom Daley in the 10m Platform Diving ~
This is the one medal I really wanted for Team GB. We tend to forget that because Tom has been around for a number of years and was at his second Olympics, he's still only 18 years old. His father died just over a year ago and Tom had to cope with his heartbreak in the full glare of the British media.
Sunday saw Team GB round off their Games with three more medals.
~ Fred Evans took Silver in the Welterweight Boxing ~
~ Anthony Joshua took gold in the Super Heavyweight Boxing ~
~ Samantha Murray took silver in the Modern Pentathlon, the final event of London 2012 ~
Team GB:
Gold ~ 29
Silver ~ 17
Bronze ~ 19
Total Medals: 65
No more plucky Brit loser
