The Boy Child had his first swimming lesson this afternoon and he loved it. It probably helps that there are just 4 children in total in the class.
The Brainy One has the opinion that if
we people expect less of The Boy Child because of his condition, then he gives less. If, on the other hand,
we people expect more, he gives more.
The Brainy One is correct
(that's why he is The Brainy One).
And The Boy Child more than proved that theory today.

I think that is very true - loving your photos recently and it was great that you kept us up to date with the medals while we were away :0)
Glad it went well. Did it help that his teacher is named after an engine?????
The more I read about autism - and I have been reading for more than twenty years - the more I am convinced that everyone is autistic. The difference is in the degree.
I think the human race is autistic and the abnormal people are those who are not - if you can find any.
All the markers and pointers for it are things that ordinary people are full of. I am with the brainy one, keep on stretching him and he will achieve so much.... just like all of us.
I am glad the swimming lessons are going well for the Boy
The Brainy one is so right. We always worked on the theory that you must always do your very best - whether it is just getting one spelling correct or getting the whole list correct - if one is your best then it is what we expect nothing less and nothing more!
I'm sure if the pool isn't too noisy he finds it relaxing..he'll be off those floats in no time!
I'm glad he enjoyed it - he will certainly be off those floats in no time at all :-0)
Good to hear he enjoyed the lesson...and Karen's comment is spot on!

Agreeing with Ladkyis and Karen, Ewok always did well if the pool wasn't too noisy. Glad it works well for TBC - clever Brainy One :)
