Now We Are Six

The Boy Child turned six last Wednesday and we hosted a party for him yesterday.
Now, I don't know about you, but I like children's parties to be traditional.
We played "Musical Bumps", "Duck, Duck, Goose", "British Bulldog" (which was possibly just that little too boisterous for five and six year olds) and "Cat and Mouse".
We finished up with a tea party.
And cake.

It's a lovely age to be and his party looks great fun. Children love those parachutes, don't they? My grandson has insisted on one for his forthcoming 4th birthday party.

British Bulldogs! oh how I loath that game. The cub Pack that I was a helper with played it every week and someone would get hurt every time and there would be tears. Girls don't play it....... the Guides used to play a game called mice and mealies that meant a lot of screaming but it was never as physical as British Bulldogs.
My Granddaughter and her friends played flip the kipper for the whole of her party because no one had ever seen it before
