Holiday Mini-Book | Completed Version | Photo Heavy

Allow me a spot of self-indulgence, if you will.
Here it is, the majority of The Boy Child's Holiday mini-Book.  I've left out the pages where he's written about his friends.
And that's about it.  The Boy Child has helped to create his own Christmas holiday scrapbook and I couldn't be more proud.
The Boy Child took it in to school and showed his teacher who, it has to be said, was rather indifferent to it. Which I felt was a great shame.

Oh Ruth, i'm so sorry his teacher was indifferent to it. If he had been in my class I think I would have sat him down and asked him to tell me how he did it and go through it with me. It is such a lovely thing for him to do and a great way to remember the holiday. Well done TBC!

How disappointing that his teacher did not fully appreciate all the obvious hard work and pleasure he put into making it. Make sure he knows how lovely we think it is!

I think that book is amazing! I would be impressed if I managed that let alone a 7 year old! Indifference is appalling.... well done TBC!

That is so lovely. It's a great shame teacher was indifferent - as Deb says- make sure he knows we are very impressed :-)

As a teacher myself I'm pretty horrified his teacher showed indifference....the book is wonderful....a treasure to keep forever.

Well I am certainly not indifferent to this book. His writing is so neat and clear that I could read every word and what a fabulous achievement from someone who does not relish the thought of writing anything let alone a beautiful journal. A huge WELL DONE to THC.

I hate to think there is a teacher out there who can't rejoice in such lovely work and can't be interested in it :(. Scrapbooking needs to be on the curriculum! He has made a splendid job of it.

TBC's teacher needs a good kick up the you-know-what!! Any teacher worth their salt would take the time to have good look at. ANY child's project and make sure to give lots of praise...stupid man!!
Like everyone else, I think he has done marvellously!

This is a wonderful project for your son and one that you are rightly proud of. Some teachers completely miss the point. I had a similar experience when my son was young.

I'd be proud of that now, let alone at 7 yrs old - so many people start Christmas Journals and don't achieve as much. Sad the teacher couldn't see that

Well, he's got plenty of fans for it it :) It's gorgeous. What a chip off the old block,eh? I'd love to have something like this now to remind me of the Christmas I was seven

She/he may be indifferent but there's lots of us here who think he did a wonderful job. I'm really impressed that a 7 year old could keep a Christmas journal and the writing was easy to read. Some people just shouldn't be teachers!!

I am so sorry that your son did not receive the well deserved praise warranted by his hard work on the lovely journal. His teacher is just thick & if you were wondering about that - now you know for sure & have your work cut out for you. On the positive side - at least you know & have such a lovely journal!

Agreeing with the others that the teacher was silly - he's done wonderfully. The sentences are clear, the writing neat and nineteen thank you letters are worthy of praise all on their one!
