Autism Awareness Day

Please support World Autism Awareness Day.
The Boy Child is not weird, odd, strange or spoilt.
He is not in need of a good slap.
He is merely different to typical children and is in need of your support, kindness and understanding.
Thank you.

I watched the horizon programme last night and that certainly increased my awareness. I understand so much more now

Thank you for posting this Ruth. I too watched the horizon programme last night. I thought it was very informative. I have also been studying autism as part of my course on early childhood development. TBC is incredibly special and he is blessed to have you giving him so much support. Hooray for raising awareness!

Very interesting. I watched the Horizon programme last night too. TBC is so lucky to have you both as parents, he is getting, and will always have, such love and support.

It was a very interesting programme. When we were kids lots of our best friends were kids on the spectrum, all taught by my Mum and Dad. It's been interesting for me to watch the gradual broadening of understanding over the past few years as more people start to grasp the complexities of the issues involved. Rock on, Boy Child!
