One Photo | Twenty Words

When it comes to scrapbooking without wearing my specs,
I know it's time for varifocals.
Welcome to over-40s eyes.

One Photo | Twenty Words is a monthly theme and the brainchild of the delightful Abi of Creating Paper Dreams.  You'll find more words and photos here:.

I wear mine most of the day now as I can't see close up (or middle distance) without them. Must get some varifocal sunglasses though as when I got my sunglasses on I cant see a thing!!!

I forget to take mine off now! And now need them for driving too :-(

I know the feeling - I now have to wear reading glasses as well as my contact lenses!

Yup, isn't it annoying :(. Yours are nicely stylish, though.

Ah yes, I can certainly empathise! Not a problem when I have my specs on, slightly trickier with contacts in!

I'm the opposite and rather short sighted. I was in the car with my Granny today and she was asking me to read the signs on the motorway. I wasn't much help as I couldn't see them!

Some very smart glasses available these days.

I can certainly empathise with this.

Contact lenses are the answer. One lens does distance and one does close work. Don't ask me how it works but it does! Wouldn't be without them!

i've been wearing glasses for so long, I don't even know when they're off or on ^^ But as long as we have pretty layouts at the end of the day, I'm ok with it!

I'm with you there! Got my varifocals a year ago and wouldn't be without them now!

It comes to us all!

I'm considering them myself. I wear glasses for distance & certain low light levels & that distance is getting shorter. I am starting to seriously squint when I read the tv's on screen guide. But can see the computer screen just fine.

So grateful for monovision contacts which keep me from needing these!
