Afternoon Tea

The Brainy One surprised me yesterday with an invitation to Afternoon Tea.
In a 4* hotel in my beloved Little Venice.
That blue plaque states that the hotel, in its previous guise as a maternity hospital,
was the birthplace of Alan Turing, which appealed to The Brainy's One love of all things scientific.
The weather was so lovely that we were able to sit in the garden.
It felt just that wee bit naughty, given it was Friday afternoon.
(And oh, so quiet without The Boy Child's moaning.

 The fly in the ointment?
The big dollop of bird poop on the table.
Which I tried to hide under the milk jug.

Perfect! How clever of the Brainy One to think to take you back - adults only - so you could really enjoy your visit this time.

Apparently there is an English tea room in Old Katy. Maybe we could check it out in August? xx

An afternoon tea without moaning sounds like a lovely plan. Glad you were able to enjoy it, I've not been back to Little Venice in years.
