What Are You Reading?

I thought I'd carry this question over from last month, as it will provide a list in December of books read and books still waiting to be read. I was at my book group last Thursday (first Thursday of the month; I'd been full of good intentions of taking some arty-farty shots of books and shelving in the library, but I forgot!) and I've traded in The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold for The Other Hand by Chris Cleave. As you can see, I still have my 2 Christmas books from last month's pile appearing in this month's pile, and I've also added that well known classic, Potty Training Boys (I'm making DH read this as well!)
In case you were wondering, my book group agreed that TLB was an okay read, but we won't be recommending it. Not sure I'll be seeing the film, either.

OK, won't bother with TLB then :-)

I've just finished Inkspell (the 2nd book in the Inkheart series) - really enjoyed it but now waiting for Inkdeath (the final book of the trilogy) to arrive so I can find out what happened next!!

Potty Training For Boys? One word: bribery. It was my sisters idea and she's a psychologist so, you know..:)

I have got The Other Hand in my library book pile - you will have to let me know what you think. The author was recommended to me. Long time since I read TLB - obviously didn't make much of an impression as I can't remember much about it!!

I started to read The Lovely Bones but couldn't get into it.Apparently now it's being made into a film so I might try again before the film comes out.Am just starting 'Pillars of the Earth' by Ken Follett, not bad so far !

I'm not! Disgusted with myself too - read some trash over the summer holidays but nothing to get excited over. I liked The Lovely Bones but I can't get into The Almost Moon which is a newer one of hers - I'm not tempted to see TLB at the cinema.

I'm working my way back through John M Robert's SPQR series. His new one is due to be released here Feb 16 & i like to reread the series before getting the new one. I'm also reading The Time Traveler's Guide to Medieval Britain, which is interesting & very humorous in places despite the sometimes dry material
