Attempting to live a better story ... and scrapbooking it.
We haven't a problem here at the moment but no doubt it will come someday soon
It's amazing isn't it that they are starting it so early. Our water board is talking about being able to help out other water boards with supplying water- hopefully that means they are fairly confident they have enough water.
Same here, we aren't affected yet. Anyway there isn't anything in the garden to water, the dirt protects my car and it is too cold to take out the paddling pool for the girls !
the UK is so funny! We have a hosepipe ban yet I have been soaked in a hailstorm and rain this week!!
I amazes me that here in Spain, where we have MUCH less rain that the UK, there never seems to be water shortages!Alison xx
Having lived most of my life in So California, I know all about water usage bans. Where my family lives they aren't even allowed grass. I'm surprised they have banned the hosepipe as you guys get sooo much more rain.
We are in SE England with the same ban but have to say we have hardly seen rain for a LONG time :(
Yes, I read about this today - surprised, really, as hadn't twigged how dry the winters were. We've got eight inches of melting snow up here, if you'd like some for washing the car!
Wow, seems awfully early, ya'll must have had a very dry winter :( We are in drought conditions but in the last decade our local governments have gotten much wiser and the general population is much more educated and concerned with water conservation.
Just been to the Lakes and it was noticeable that they were lower than normal. Mind you the weather is very mad at the mo.
Shame about the paddling pool :(
