Scrapbook Saturday

Look away now if you don't want to see pages about Florida.
I've made a page a day for the last week.  I'm using white cardstock, mostly and the patterned paper is Echo Park's A Perfect Summer.
The ice cream shop in Celebration deserved its own double page spread.
Hand drawn and then stitched circles added to the feeling of motion for the SheikRa roller coaster at Busch Gardens.  I was very grateful that The Boy Child wasn't tall enough for this ride.
Kennedy Space Centre was one of the highlights of our trip for me.  The Boy Child told me on Friday afternoon that he no longer wants to be an astronaut, he wants to work at Mission Control in Houston.  I've a feeling that to work at NASA, you must be a US citizen.
One World at Sea World was another highlight.
And finally for this week, a page highlighting the unexpected.
What have you been working on?

What a gorgeous set of pages - I like the hand drawn and stitched circles. Always like a travel journal too.

TBC could work for the European Space Agency and then get to NASA. But you can get to work at NASA and not be a US Citizen too. I have friends who do and there are specialists from all over the world. Of course these days it is going more into private companies but NASA is still a way cool place - TBC has great taste in career choices :)

Yes, TSO knows someone in school whose uncle works at NASA. How exciting would that be! I'm loving the fresh whiteness of your Florida pages and already I can see how it really was a trip to remember

I'm very impressed you're scrapping these photos already - I've done nothing and we have been back for 2 weeks! Great layouts - very inspiring (though I need to clear my desk first!)

Well, I have been nowhere near as prolific as you have! Your pages are lovely, and most impressed you also had time to do drawing and stitching!

I think NASA would be a great place to work - I love the crisp clean look of your pages. I must photograph my album and get it blogged. You are spurring me into action!

I'm impressed how quickly you're scrapping your holiday....I'm still on last year's holiday!
I like how the white background pulls them altogether.

oooh so much excitement. I've just been drooling over your sister's US stash (but I can't comment on her blog for some reason) Surely that would be racial discrimination on NASA's part? Let the BC dream on for a while yet

They're all looking great. I haven't done any yet. But when my cardstock arrives I think I may "borrow" your stitching idea for the rollercoasters. I still need an album but have seen one on Sarah's Cards that will do nicely xxx
