You can keep your tacky tinsel 
and garishly themed ornaments. 
 Paper decorations in 
beautiful contrasting colours
 do it for me.

I totally agree Ruth. My family don't allow tinsel in the house and the tree is just decorated with red and gold! Some would call it pedantic! I love it though!

We don't use tinsel but some of my most vivid Christmas images from the past include tinsel :)
