Snap #16 | Sports Day

Helena has a new photographic theme for 2016:
 Snap, a visually linked group of 2 to 4 images.
***
Just before half-term at the end of May,
 The Boy Child's year group held its Sports Day.
There were several differences to how
Sports Day had been run at his previous school.
 This year, for the first time, he competed in some new events.
Shot put, anyone?
 He ran in the 200M, having never run past 50M competitively before.
 {but he still took time to smile for the camera}
He didn't win any medals this year, but did say that he'd had a great time.
Sounds like a win to me.
You can see more Snap images here.

That grin is the gold medal at the end.

Enjoying yourself is truly the goal, so it looks like a win to me!

It's the taking part and enjoying that is the most important and he certainly doing that.

Great shots of him, I love the shot put one. Your snap set brings back happy memories of school games for me. They don't have them here anymore.
